According to the calendar summer has arrived, but as usual the great British weather has let us all down. The good news is that the weather will not ruin a trip to the Great City of Liverpool and The Lord Nelson Hotel is offering some cracking deals on accommodation!

More than halfway through the year celebrating the title 'European Capital of Culture' Liverpool has hosted and will continue hosting a wide array of fantastic and very entertaining events.

This month the Golf Open will be taking place at Royal Birkdale, a golf course not far from Liverpool along with the arrival of the Tall Ships. Next month Liverpool Fringe festival will have its debut along with the famous Matthew Street Festival which will be returning to the streets of Liverpool which also coincides with the start of the football season.
