At the beginning of June the DugOut Bar opened its very own private beer terrace providing an excellent venue to enjoy the barmy summer evenings. In keeping with the theme of the DugOut Bar, step out onto the terrace and providing the weather is amiable you could be mistaken for thinking you were in the Mediterranean!
Those of you that have already visited the DugOut Bar no doubt were impressed by the range of worldwide bottled beers stocked. Well the range has recently been extended by the addition of Budvar from the Czech Republic, Desperados from France and Duvel and Leffe Blonde, both from Belgium. Next time you are in the area why not call in and try one?
Cusquena Beer was the focus of July's beer tasting event in the DugOut Bar, supported by guests from across the city and even mentioned in the Dail Post Social Diary. Along with tasting the beer guests found out where the beer originates from and why money from each bottle sold goes to a Peruvian charity. During June the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Industry held their monthly Business After Hours in the DugOut Bar. Guests were suitably impresssed by the DugOut Bar as a venue along with the wide range of bottled beers. As the evening progressed the party moved outside to enjoy the fine British weather on the Beer Terrace.
At the moment Liverpool is buzzing, hotels are fully booked and in the evening bars are packed due to the worldwide attraction of the Golf Open taking place at Royal Liverpool Golf Course. George Cloony, Robbie Williams and Brad Pitt have even been spotted spectating on the golf course! Who do you think will take the trophy home with them?
Looking ahead, the Premiership football kicks off on August 19th with Liverpool playing Sheffield away and Everton are playing Watford at home. Don't forget, if you haven't managed to get tickets for any of the Premiership football matches com and enjoy the atmosphere and watch the game in the DugOut Bar.
